Goorin Bros. Hat Shop - French Quarter

What an awesome place to find that unique gift to always remember your trip to New Orleans. While walking around in the French quarter we happened to find the second Goorin Bros. store and could not have been more please. Earlier in our trip we stumbled into the store on Magazine street (Now reported as closed) but just did not make a purchase. We were welcomed by two great salesmen by the name of Guillermo and Alfred. These two gentlemen were spot on on their recommendations and customer service. They showed us around and let us try on many of their fine hats till we were pleased with our selection of the perfect fitting hat. All in all they made us feel as if we were family and treated us the same. I am so glad I stopped and ran into these two it made the shopping experience that mush better and left us with new found friends and a great hat to relive the memories each and every time I put it on...

Not sure what these others are taking about but claire Is literally the nicest person out there. She provides excellent customer service and shows how knowledgeable she is in the hat industry. She helped me pick out the perfect hat that completes my style now. Such a terrific company and employees! I have nothing but good things to say.

Horrible Customer Service. I gave one star but it really should be a half of one star. My wife and I travelled from NYC to spend a week in New Orleans. We were told about this premier hat shop for Men's Hats. Our Hotel was in the French Qtrs, so we took a stroll over to the shop. There was one lady at the front when we walked in and another in the back at the register. These two young white ladies never greeted us and the one that was in the front disappeared behind a curtain in the back. I was interested in two of the hats at $250 each, but given their extreme unprofessionalism and bias toward us as African American customers. I try the products on and loved them, however I will NEVER buy from an establishment that does not appreciate diversity or exercise common decency to speak to their customers. So, I purchased the products at Meyer's off of Canal who were very hospitable to us as Customers. Horrible experience. Buyer beware - bias is real in that shop. I will not buy from the Goorin Bros. until there is an obvious display of appreciation for ALL consumers.

Great hat buying experience! Walked in looking for a hat and had many options to see. Tommy was very patient in helping walk me through the many options and choices. Guided me on the right fit and color for the occasion. Pulled out the accoutrements to help make the hat fit, but ultimately stand out. Probably best experience in the hat buying arena.
